We are the Hub

We have a network of project partners working in the health, wellbeing, social care and research sectors, predominantly across the south of England, covering statutory, third sector and commercial organisations.

Through these long-standing links we have an extensive list of contacts from Board level to the front-line workforce, enabling us to develop both strategic and operational partnerships.

Opportunity to improve Health Outcomes

There is a huge opportunity to improve the health and wellbeing of our population via collaboration with local authorities, voluntary and community sectors, housing, education, environment and other key partners.

20%

of good health is considered to come from clinical interventions.

80%

is associated with health-related behaviours, socio-economic factors and environmental factors.

The NHS does not have sole responsibility for community wellbeing.

Wellbeing depends on partnership and collaboration between statutory services, the third sector, the private sector and academia.

HEC’s role = hub, providing an evidence base/solutions to support wellbeing and prevent ill-health, and help address health inequalities.

A recent project supported 1500 new parents to have better perinatal mental health.

Another project helped 1200 people address their excess weight and increase their skills and employability.

How we have helped

Over the last 10 years we have developed and managed projects worth in excess of £60m covering a range of different topics in the health and social care sectors.
