The Centre for Healthy Empowered Communities has more than 20 years’ experience in large-scale research and service improvement collaboration within the health and social care sector. This includes cross-sectoral partnership building, project development and project management. We have successfully bid for and managed over €70 million of EU projects between 2014-20. As a convenor of different organisations covering the NHS, local government, third sector organisations, SMEs and universities, we focus on finding co-created solutions to specific issues, together with our expert lead partner skills, to create dynamic project partnership and saves valuable time and resources.

Established in the late 1990s as a not-for-profit organisation, our speciality is externally-funded project development and support for the health and social care sector. We provide an end-to-end service developing an idea, finding an appropriate funding stream, building the consortium, writing and submitting the bid, and then project managing the project, ensuring it runs on time and on budget. Through this in-depth work, we have developed a unique and profound understanding of how the health and social care system operates and how innovation can be practically transferred and implemented. Our experience and expertise benefits health and wellbeing, social care and educational organisations, whether statutory or voluntary.
